️ School of Agriculture, University of Phayao Organizes “Buddhist Agriculture for Life Development” and “Campus Tour for Freshmen” to Promote Morality, Ethics, and Social Responsibility
On June 10, 2024, the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of Phayao, organized a special program entitled “Buddhist Agriculture for Life Development (Body, Mind, and Personality Enrichment)” at the faculty’s activity lawn. The opening ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Kanyanatt Suntornprasitt, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research.
This project aimed to encourage holistic development in students—physically, mentally, and emotionally—by embracing Dharma principles, moral values, and ethical conduct as guiding principles for life within and beyond the university. The program emphasized desirable qualities such as honesty, sufficiency, compassion, generosity, mindfulness, and self-discipline.
Activities included in the program:
Dharma Talk: “How to Live with Mindfulness, Concentration, and Wisdom in University Life”
Delivered by Phra Khru Palad Sombun, abbot of Wat Mor Kaeng Thong, Phayao Province.
️ Meditation Practice: Students participated in mindfulness meditation sessions to promote inner calm and mental focus.
️ Campus Tour for Freshmen (“Pa Nong Aeu Mor”): New students were guided on a tour of important spiritual and cultural sites on campus.
Paying respects to King Naresuan the Great: A symbolic and spiritual gesture to honor Thai heritage.
Worship of Phra Phuttha Phuchakharak: The official Buddha image of the University of Phayao, in the Naga-Protected posture, enshrined with the royal initials “Sor Thor” (ส.ธ.)
This sacred site is regarded as the spiritual center of the university community and a place of reverence for administrators, faculty members, students, and visitors.
This activity served as a meaningful platform to instill public-mindedness, volunteerism, and spiritual growth among students. It also reinforced the values and identity of the faculty and the university—laying the foundation for students to become competent, ethical, and socially responsible individuals.

คณะเกษตรศาสตร์ฯ ม.พะเยา จัดกิจกรรม “พุทธเกษตรเพื่อการดำเนินชีวิต” และ “พาน้องแอ่วมอ” เสริมสร้างคุณธรรม จริยธรรม และจิตสาธารณะในนิสิต
เมื่อวันที่ 10 มิถุนายน 2567 คณะเกษตรศาสตร์และทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา ได้จัดโครงการ ส่งเสริมกิจกรรมพุทธเกษตรเพื่อการดำเนินชีวิต (พัฒนากาย ใจ และบุคลิกภาพ) ณ ลานกิจกรรมคณะฯ โดยมี ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์กัญญาณัฐ สุนทรประสิทธิ์ รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิชาการและวิจัย เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดโครงการ
โครงการดังกล่าวมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมให้นิสิตได้พัฒนาทั้งด้านร่างกาย จิตใจ และบุคลิกภาพ พร้อมยึดถือหลัก ธรรมะ คุณธรรม และจริยธรรม เป็นแนวทางในการดำเนินชีวิต ทั้งในรั้วมหาวิทยาลัยและในสังคม โดยเน้นย้ำให้เกิดคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ เช่น ความซื่อสัตย์ รู้จักพอเพียง เมตตา กรุณา เสียสละ และมีสติในการดำเนินชีวิตประจำวัน
กิจกรรมภายในโครงการ
ฟังธรรมบรรยาย หัวข้อ “ใช้ชีวิตในมหาวิทยาลัยอย่างไรให้มีสติ สมาธิ ปัญญา” โดย พระครูปลัดสมบูรณ์ เจ้าอาวาสวัดหม้อแกงทอง จังหวัดพะเยา
- ฝึกปฏิบัติธรรม ด้วยการนั่งสมาธิเพื่อฝึกจิตและเสริมสร้างสมาธิภายใน
- กิจกรรมพาน้องแอ่วมอ พานิสิตน้องใหม่เยี่ยมชมสถานที่สำคัญภายในมหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา
- สักการะ สมเด็จพระนเรศวรมหาราช
- สักการะ พระพุทธภุชคารักษ์ พระพุทธรูปประจำมหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา ปางนาคปรก ประดิษฐานพระนามาภิไธย ส.ธ. ณ ลานพระพุทธภุชคารักษ์ เพื่อเสริมสร้างความเป็นสิริมงคลและเป็นศูนย์รวมจิตใจของนิสิต
กิจกรรมครั้งนี้นับเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการปลูกฝังวัฒนธรรมจิตสาธารณะและจิตอาสาให้แก่นิสิต พร้อมทั้งเชื่อมโยงจิตใจของนิสิตเข้ากับค่านิยมของคณะและมหาวิทยาลัย สร้างพื้นฐานที่แข็งแกร่งในการเป็นคนดี คนเก่ง และเป็นพลเมืองที่มีคุณภาพในสังคม
