UP School of Agriculture Joins Robusta Coffee Planting Activity to Promote Quality Production in Lowland Areas
On May 26, 2025, the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of Phayao, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Wipawan Nuengmek, Dean, and Dr. Boonruam Khidka, Associate Dean for Policy and Organizational Development, participated in the “Robusta Coffee Planting in Paddy Fields” activity held at Ban Sang Sub-district, Mueang District, Phayao Province. The event was organized by the Phayao Robusta Community Enterprise, in collaboration with Siam Coffee Trade Co., Ltd. and the Phayao Provincial Agricultural Office.
The objective of this initiative was to establish a demonstration plot for Robusta coffee cultivation in lowland areas, aiming to enhance the quality of domestic coffee production, reduce reliance on imports, and create sustainable livelihoods for local farmers.
The event featured knowledge-sharing sessions led by coffee cultivation experts, covering topics such as soil preparation, field management, seedling care in flat terrains, water management, and integrated marketing strategies. These components are designed to equip farmers with the tools and knowledge to operate sustainable and profitable coffee enterprises.
The participation of the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources reflects the university's proactive role in supporting grassroots economic development and aligning with the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event also fostered the application of academic knowledge to real-world practices, bridging education and community development.
Furthermore, this initiative laid the foundation for building an integrated agricultural partnership network, connecting the upstream (production), midstream (processing), and downstream (marketing and distribution) sectors. The ultimate goal is to elevate “Phayao Robusta Coffee” as a high-quality agricultural product that can compete at both the national and international levels.

คณะเกษตรศาสตร์ฯ ม.พะเยา ร่วมกิจกรรมปลูกกาแฟโรบัสต้าในแปลงนา ส่งเสริมพื้นที่ราบสู่แหล่งผลิตกาแฟคุณภาพ
วันที่ 26 พฤษภาคม 2568 คณะเกษตรศาสตร์และทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา นำโดย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.วิพรพรรณ์ เนื่องเม็ก คณบดี และ ดร.บุญร่วม คิดค้า รองคณบดีฝ่ายนโยบายและพัฒนาองค์กร เข้าร่วมกิจกรรม “ปลูกกาแฟโรบัสต้าในแปลงนา” ณ พื้นที่ตำบลบ้านสาง อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดพะเยา ซึ่งจัดโดย วิสาหกิจชุมชนโรบัสต้าพะเยา ร่วมกับ บริษัทสยามคอฟฟี่เทรด จำกัด และ สำนักงานเกษตรจังหวัดพะเยา
กิจกรรมดังกล่าวมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อจัดทำ แปลงต้นแบบการปลูกกาแฟโรบัสต้าบนพื้นที่ราบ โดยมีเป้าหมายในการยกระดับคุณภาพการผลิตกาแฟภายในประเทศ ลดการนำเข้าจากต่างประเทศ และสร้างอาชีพที่มั่นคงให้แก่เกษตรกรในท้องถิ่น
ภายในงานมีการถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้จากผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการปลูกกาแฟ ครอบคลุมทั้งการเตรียมดิน การจัดการแปลงปลูก การดูแลรักษาต้นกล้าในสภาพภูมิประเทศราบ การจัดการน้ำ รวมถึงการวางแผนการตลาดในระบบครบวงจร เพื่อให้เกษตรกรสามารถดำเนินธุรกิจได้อย่างยั่งยืน
การเข้าร่วมของคณะเกษตรศาสตร์ฯ ในครั้งนี้ เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการส่งเสริมบทบาทของมหาวิทยาลัยในการ พัฒนาระบบเศรษฐกิจฐานราก และการขับเคลื่อนตามแนวทาง การพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน (SDGs) โดยมุ่งหวังให้เกิดการเชื่อมโยงองค์ความรู้จากภาคการศึกษาสู่ภาคปฏิบัติจริงในชุมชน
นอกจากนี้ กิจกรรมยังช่วยวางรากฐานของการสร้างเครือข่าย “ภาคีเกษตรกรรมครบวงจร” ตั้งแต่ต้นน้ำ (การผลิต) กลางน้ำ (การแปรรูป) จนถึงปลายน้ำ (การตลาดและจำหน่าย) โดยมีเป้าหมายผลักดัน “กาแฟโรบัสต้าพะเยา” ให้เป็นสินค้าเกษตรคุณภาพสูงที่สามารถแข่งขันได้ในระดับประเทศและสากล
