School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of Phayao Participates in “OPEN UP 2025” and Bai Sri Su Kwan Ceremony to Warmly Welcome Freshmen
On June 20–21, 2025, the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of Phayao, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sumana Luangthitikanchana, Associate Dean for Student Quality Development, participated in “OPEN UP 2025” and the Bai Sri Su Kwan Ceremony for the 15th Generation of ‘Fa Mui’ Freshmen under the theme “Sri Siam Unites Four Regions in Faith for the University of Phayao”. The event took place at the university’s central activity grounds and was held with great significance and a warm atmosphere.
The highlight of the program was the Bai Sri Su Kwan Ceremony, a traditional northern Thai ritual aimed at welcoming and blessing new students. Buddhist monks were invited to chant sacred prayers to offer blessings for the incoming students, known as “Fa Mui Generation 15.” The event also featured the symbolic “Knot-Tying Ceremony” conducted by the university administrators, representing the bond of care, unity, and support between seniors and newcomers within the university community.
On the morning of June 21, 2025, another meaningful activity titled “Fa Mui Freshmen Join in Offering Alms” was held. This merit-making ceremony encouraged ethical values and cultural preservation. Freshmen, dressed in traditional and respectful attire, joined in offering dry food and essentials to Buddhist monks, creating a spiritually enriching and harmonious atmosphere.
The evening session featured cultural performances, live music, and a mini concert by upper-year students, adding joy and entertainment while giving freshmen an opportunity to express themselves and build friendships with peers and seniors alike.
Participation in this event not only fostered strong connections among students across academic years but also served as a platform to communicate the university’s identity, promoting pride, unity, and a deep sense of belonging among all members of the University of Phayao family.

คณะเกษตรศาสตร์และทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ ม.พะเยา เข้าร่วมกิจกรรม “OPEN UP 2025” และพิธีบายศรีสู่ขวัญฟ้ามุ่ยช่อที่ 15 ต้อนรับนิสิตใหม่อย่างอบอุ่น
เมื่อวันที่ 20–21 มิถุนายน 2568 คณะเกษตรศาสตร์และทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา นำโดย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สุมนา เหลืองฐิติกาญจนา รองคณบดีฝ่ายพัฒนาคุณภาพนิสิต ได้นำคณาจารย์และนิสิตใหม่เข้าร่วมกิจกรรม “OPEN UP 2025” และพิธีบายศรีสู่ขวัญฟ้ามุ่ยช่อที่ 15 ประจำปีการศึกษา 2568 ภายใต้แนวคิด “ศรีสยามงามสี่หล้า รวมศรัทธาสู่มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา” ณ อาคารสงวนเสริมศรี มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา ซึ่งจัดขึ้นอย่างยิ่งใหญ่และเปี่ยมไปด้วยความหมาย
กิจกรรมภายในงานประกอบด้วยพิธีบายศรีสู่ขวัญตามประเพณีอันดีงามของชาวล้านนา โดยนิมนต์พระสงฆ์มาสวดเจริญพระพุทธมนต์ เพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคลแก่เหล่านิสิตใหม่ “ฟ้ามุ่ยช่อที่ 15” พร้อมทั้งมีพิธี “มัดมือผูกใจ” จากผู้บริหารมหาวิทยาลัย เป็นสัญลักษณ์ของความผูกพัน ความรัก และการต้อนรับจากพี่สู่น้องในรั้วมหาวิทยาลัยแห่งนี้
นอกจากนี้ ยังมีกิจกรรมเช้าวันที่ 21 มิถุนายน 2568 ได้แก่ “ฟ้ามุ่ยช่อใหม่ ร่วมใจตักบาตรตานบุญ” ณ หอประชุมพญางำเมือง ซึ่งเป็นกิจกรรมส่งเสริมคุณธรรมจริยธรรมและปลูกฝังจิตสำนึกในการรักษาวัฒนธรรมประเพณีอันดีของไทย โดยนิสิตใหม่พร้อมใจแต่งกายสุภาพเข้าร่วมตักบาตรข้าวสารอาหารแห้งแด่พระสงฆ์ในช่วงเช้า ท่ามกลางบรรยากาศที่เปี่ยมด้วยความอบอุ่นและศรัทธา
กิจกรรมในช่วงค่ำยังมีการแสดงทางวัฒนธรรม การแสดงดนตรี และคอนเสิร์ตเล็ก ๆ จากรุ่นพี่ ซึ่งจัดขึ้นเพื่อสร้างความประทับใจให้แก่น้อง ๆ พร้อมเปิดโอกาสให้นิสิตใหม่ได้แสดงออกและเริ่มต้นสร้างมิตรภาพกับเพื่อนร่วมรุ่นและพี่ ๆ อย่างใกล้ชิด
การเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมครั้งนี้ไม่เพียงแต่เสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างนิสิตต่างชั้นปี แต่ยังเป็นเวทีสำคัญในการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์ของมหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา และปลูกฝังจิตสำนึกของการเป็นหนึ่งเดียวกันในฐานะสมาชิกครอบครัว มพ. อย่างภาคภูมิ
