Advances the “Plant Genetic Conservation Project (RSPG)”
Building a Network of Model Schools for Local Plant Conservation in Phayao Province
The School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of Phayao, actively implemented the Royal Initiative Plant Genetic Conservation Project (RSPG) from May 24 to June 15, 2025. The initiative was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Wipornpan Nueangmek, Dean of the School, alongside associate deans, faculty members, staff, and students, who conducted outreach activities in eight schools across Phayao Province.
This project was initiated in response to the royal initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, who has long expressed concern for the loss of local plant genetic resources. The RSPG aims to conserve, collect, and sustainably utilize plant genetic materials, while also transmitting indigenous knowledge and wisdom to future generations.

Core Activities
The school designed participatory learning activities tailored to each school to encourage hands-on engagement and youth awareness of biodiversity and local plant resources. These included:
Educational lectures on local plant genetics, rare and endangered species, and community-based economic plants
Workshops on “Know Your Plants, Love Your Flora” to inspire and engage students through hands-on activities
Donations and joint planting of local plant species, involving faculty, teachers, and students
Establishment of learning stations as knowledge centers for plant genetics and local wisdom
Promotion of green space development plans integrated into school curricula
Project Goals and Objectives
Support the royal initiative to conserve, rehabilitate, and sustainably utilize plant genetic resources
Empower schools to become learning centers for local plant biodiversity
Instill values in youth to appreciate, protect, and use natural resources wisely
Bridge modern scientific knowledge and traditional local wisdom for balanced resource management
University–Community Collaboration
The School of Agriculture and Natural Resources emphasizes a collaborative approach among universities, schools, and communities. It recognizes schools as key agents of change that can inspire broader community engagement in plant conservation and sustainable development in environmental, economic, and social dimensions.

คณะเกษตรศาสตร์ฯ ม.พะเยา เดินหน้าขับเคลื่อน “โครงการอนุรักษ์พันธุกรรมพืช อพ.สธ.”
สร้างเครือข่ายโรงเรียนต้นแบบด้านพรรณพืชในพื้นที่จังหวัดพะเยา
คณะเกษตรศาสตร์และทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา ดำเนินกิจกรรมเชิงรุกภายใต้ โครงการส่งเสริมการดำเนินงานอนุรักษ์พันธุกรรมพืชอันเนื่องมาจากพระราชดำริ (อพ.สธ.) ระหว่างวันที่ 24 พฤษภาคม – 15 มิถุนายน 2568 โดยมี ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.วิพรพรรณ์ เนื่องเม็ก คณบดีคณะเกษตรศาสตร์ฯ พร้อมด้วยทีมผู้บริหาร คณาจารย์ บุคลากร และนิสิต ร่วมลงพื้นที่ดำเนินกิจกรรมในโรงเรียน 8 แห่งทั่วจังหวัดพะเยา
โครงการนี้จัดขึ้นเพื่อสนองพระราชดำริของ สมเด็จพระกนิษฐาธิราชเจ้า กรมสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี ที่ทรงห่วงใยต่อการสูญหายของทรัพยากรพันธุกรรมพืชในท้องถิ่น และทรงมีพระราชประสงค์ให้มีการอนุรักษ์ รวบรวม และใช้ประโยชน์พันธุกรรมพืชอย่างยั่งยืนควบคู่กับการสืบสานภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น

กิจกรรมหลักภายใต้โครงการ
คณะเกษตรศาสตร์ฯ ได้ออกแบบกิจกรรมแบบมีส่วนร่วม (Participatory Learning) ในแต่ละโรงเรียน เพื่อให้เยาวชนได้เรียนรู้ผ่านการลงมือปฏิบัติจริง ได้แก่:
การบรรยายความรู้ เรื่องพันธุกรรมพืช พืชหายาก และพืชเศรษฐกิจท้องถิ่น
กิจกรรมเวิร์กชอป “รู้จักพืช รักษ์พรรณไม้” เน้นการเรียนรู้เชิงปฏิบัติและสร้างแรงบันดาลใจ
การมอบและปลูกพันธุ์พืชท้องถิ่นร่วมกัน ระหว่างคณะฯ กับครูและนักเรียน
การสร้างฐานเรียนรู้ในโรงเรียน เพื่อเป็นแหล่งรวบรวมข้อมูลพรรณไม้และภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น
การส่งเสริมแผนพัฒนาพื้นที่สีเขียวในโรงเรียน ให้เชื่อมโยงกับการเรียนรู้ในหลักสูตร
วัตถุประสงค์และเป้าหมายของโครงการ
สนองพระราชดำริในการ อนุรักษ์ ฟื้นฟู และใช้ประโยชน์พันธุกรรมพืชอย่างยั่งยืน
ส่งเสริมให้สถานศึกษาเป็น ศูนย์กลางการเรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับพรรณไม้ท้องถิ่น
ปลูกฝังจิตสำนึกให้เยาวชน เห็นคุณค่าและรู้จักใช้ทรัพยากรอย่างสมดุล
สร้างความเชื่อมโยงระหว่าง วิทยาศาสตร์สมัยใหม่กับภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น
ความร่วมมือระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยกับชุมชน
คณะเกษตรศาสตร์ฯ ให้ความสำคัญกับการทำงานแบบมีส่วนร่วมระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัย โรงเรียน และชุมชนในท้องถิ่น โดยมองว่าโรงเรียนคือจุดเริ่มต้นของการสร้างการเปลี่ยนแปลงในระดับชุมชน และสามารถต่อยอดองค์ความรู้สู่นโยบายการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน ทั้งด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม เศรษฐกิจ และสังคมในระยะยาว
คณะฯ ขอขอบคุณผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา ครู นักเรียน หน่วยงานภาครัฐ และภาคีเครือข่ายในพื้นที่ ที่ให้การสนับสนุนการดำเนินโครงการอย่างดียิ่ง และยืนยันเจตนารมณ์ที่จะสานต่อภารกิจอันทรงคุณค่านี้ให้ขยายผลไปยังโรงเรียนอื่น ๆ ในอนาคต
